ive just had the most amazing telephone call with a customer of mine that i feel i should share with you.
**** "hi tony ive got a small problem i keep getting this annoying programme which pops up when i start my pc up how do i get rid of it"
tony "ok no probs what is it and ill talk you through how to stop it"
****"its hp photo gallery or something or another "
tony " ok click start click run type in the box msconfig "
**** " ok done that"
tony " ok so youve got a box popped up saying system configuration utility?"
**** " yes"
tony " good ok now look to the right hand side of the box in the top right corner you will see a button called start up do you see it?"
**** " yes i see it"
tony " good click on that and in the box that pops up everything thats running will have a tick next to it look for the box applies to that hp programme uncheck the box and click apply"
**** "just let me see ah yes there it is i untick it right?"
tony " thats it now click apply then click close and click the box that says restart"
**** " ok done it (pause) nothings happening"
tony "your pc is not shutting down ?"
**** "no"
tony "ok give it a minute "
**** "ok(pause) no nothings happening what should i do ?"
tony "ok do you know where the reset button is ?"
****" reset? whats that?"
tony "ok not to worry just hold down the start button and your pc should switch itself off"
**** "ok im doing that now(pause) nothings happening"
tony "your holding down the start button on the pc and nothings happening?"
****" yes nothings happening its just as it was"
tony" hmm that seems strange your sure your holding down the start button "
**** " yes the green one on the screen ive got my finger on it as im talking to you"
tony ":blink: ah i can see where were going wrong here take your finger off of the green button on the screen and locate the start button on the tower the one that you press when you switch your pc on in the morning "
****"oh have i been holdong down the wrong one?"
tony "not to worry now when the pc starts up again you will see a box saying you have used the system config utility just check the small box click ok and you wont see it again "
**** " great tony thanks for your help"
tony " no probs **** see you soon byeeeeee"
