Have any of our merry band had any dealings with Asus laptops?
I've been asked to recommend a laptop for a client who does NOT want another Sony...

A friend in the USA who runs a small shop has spoken highly of the Asus quality but I'm hoping to get some second opinions before I make the final choice.
