Convincing Fake

Just received this email. Is it a fake? One of the better fakes if it is but the full email header makes me suspicious, along with the sender being paypal@email.co.uk. It still beat gmail's spam filter though. I have removed the links to prevent anyone accidentally following them. Note they used my real name (my surname was there too) and a host of other convincing details.

Dear Steven,

We've noticed that you've almost reached the receiving limit on your PayPal account. There's no need to worry. This only means that we're required to confirm additional information about you before you can receive further payments into your account.

Why do I have a receiving limit?

When you open a PayPal account we want you to get up and running as quickly as possible. That's why we initially ask for only the most essential information. However, as a financial institution, we have to comply with certain laws and regulations. This includes a set limit on the amount you can receive into your PayPal account before we are required to find out a bit more about you.

How to remove your receiving limit

We ask you to complete a number of simple steps before we can lift your receiving limit. If we don't receive this information in time, you would temporarily be unable to withdraw funds from your PayPal account.

To make this process as smooth as possible, we've compiled a detailed guide to help you complete all the necessary steps before reaching your receiving limit.

How do I know this is not a Spoof email? Spoof or 'phishing' emails tend to have generic greetings such as "Dear PayPal member". Emails from PayPal will always address you by your first and last name. What I want to know is how the hell did they get my real name?????? Is it a fake? Whay would it be from paypal@email.co.uk?

I'm in Damn Small Linux right now so I can follow the links and they all actually take me to what appear to be verified legit paypal sites. The thing is, I never receive money into my paypal account. Also why do I not have any messages in my ebay account or in my paypal account itself?

Maybe I am paranoid but alarm bells are ringing here.

Anyone else lift my ignorant lid?
