Sage advice from PC World

This was posted in one of the OU forums - reposted with permission:

Well here is a funny story that should keep you amused (or not) for some time.

My husband did not believe that Apple Macs ran off Unix, so when we were in town today he decided to pop into PC World to find out (I know, I know - but I thought 'This will be interesting! And it was)

The first person asked just said he didn't know, so did the 2nd person. The 3rd person went over to one of the Macs and turned the monitor round to have a look (well maybe she thought that Unix was a different type of electricity). Then she said she didn't know, but that she would have a word with the Apple expert.

She came back a while later and said that Unix was a brand new system and that it only worked under Windows and that if we wanted to put it on an Apple machine we would have to install Windows first and run it under that. But PC World didn't have it anyway.

So now you know.
