1st and only report of the quarter finals

Right there was a match on Sunday in the BK objective challenge and it was a quarter final match up???.

This match had been brought forward as The Duck was not around next week due to having to do some secret pond work down Somerset way???

The Map was Frag & Rock and the teams were : Triple Sec against Rubber Deef n Duck.

Triple sec were made up of those high flying trio of Nom8sm8, Brownee, and Spiritwalker and Rubber Deef n Duck who are the irrefutable trio of Dr Deef , Rubberbandman and The Duckster Teale??.

The Bash was one by Rubber Deef n Duck and they chose to start on Defence and they game was soon underway, But although they had chosen defence they strangely decided to go on the attack ????????????

And soon were down by three before they gave themselves a good ?Stern? talking to and got themselves onto the right track and began to defend the objectives and hey they began the comeback and took the first half by five games to three but the damage was probably done in those early games and the advantage was clearly with Triple Sec going into the second half.

Brownee Nom8s and Spiritwalker played really well in the second half and where making some really solid defensive plays even though many of the games were coming down to one on one they were holding the advantage and with the scores standing at four games to two and seven each on aggregate they needed one more game to take it and with only the Duck left making a brave kill on Spiritwalker, but Barry nom8s came in from behind and took the final kill and so shaded the match eight games to seven??

A case of what might have been for the Rubber Deef n Duck brigade who were left crying in pools of despair the duck said it was a case of what if ?

What if we had defended at the start ?

What if we had had a team practice ?

What if the duck knew were he was actually going ?

What if I had worn my lucky thong ?

What if we had all played naked like Spritwalker ?

What if we just stand up and give the rightful applauds to a fine team effort on the part of Triple Sec! Spiritwalker, Brownee and Nom8sm8 who put on a superb effort and took the win, I hope they can now go on to win this event???.

Well done guys you deserved it????? You earned it??????????..

On a personal note I would like to say that I have really enjoyed the objective competition and would like to thank Marc {Manta} for all the work he has put in to running this little monster??. And also for all the help and advice he has freely given to try and bring us FFA junkies up to speed with the maps and the objective style of play???.

And I also feel that by running this tournament and our own CPS tournaments it has brought both CPS and BK closer together and that?s no bad thing???

Except for Angie?s Euro Pop mixes that is ! ! ! They really are not such a good thing???.
