Office Licence Query
My dad bought a laptop that had Office 2007 Professional pre-installed as a demo.
He didn't need all the functionality of Pro and to activate it isn't cheap, so he decided to go for the less expensive Home and Student version.
However, he didn't read what he was buying and has now bought a MLK (medialess licence kit) for Home and Student. Of course, this is not compatible with the version of Office installed on his laptop. Now, if you purchase the licence kit up to 90 days after buying the laptop you can apply for the back up media to re-install the software but he's outside this period.
He's going to speak to EBuyer (who he got the licence and laptop from) and Microsoft to see if they'll send him the install media, but if they don't am I right in thinking we can just buy one of the Office OEM Pre-installation Kits (OPK) and use that to install the OEM version of Home and Student?
