CPS v Recon Renegades

Hot news coming in across the wires here at rueters pond it seems a team from CPS took on a pro team of objective stars from the renegades clan at their own game!!!

This was a match that was organised just over the last few days by Little Dragon who was contacted by the renegades who going back over the years have had several run ins with our senior partners???

So the team was dragged together and included,

Little Dragon Zodan Dogz Welshwolf Kristofaa Nom8sm8 Teale
Scouse Kraut Frau Spiritwalker Destroyer Maximus?

Dai was also going to play but due to unforeseen circumstances was unable to make it, Dai we all wish you well and hope that your horse makes a swift recovery??..

The team managed to get the IP address and passwords sorted out after lots of help from Ruckus, Teale, Partsy Sonjie and Spiritwalker All thanks to everyone on this,Along with a
special shout to Sonjie and Spirit who turned over their home system so the team were able to have a practice of sorts on Tuesday ?Nuff Respec? to you guys?.

Well we were in and it was not a comfortable start, as it was taking a while to get used to the different settings on the renegades server??.

But most difficult was the friendly fire that hardly any of the players were used to dealing with, as many of the kills actually being made on the CPS team where by the CPS team no names mentioned Welshy????.

The map choice was St Lo and this was not a familiar map for the team as they had managed only one practise session on it and lost the first couple of matches to the Renagades team.

The team seemed to settle down a bit and began to hold there own on the map as Axis, Barry Nom8s was playing a blinder along side Little Dragon. There were some outstanding kills made by Zodan with her rifle, Teale in the church was awesome even if I do say so myself at one point taking out three of the opposition, SpiritWalker and Kristofaa were also working well in defence Angie was bellowing advice left right and centre keeping everyone ticking along

Dogz was well ??.Dogz and again made several key kills and took the winning kill on match 5, Wolfie after settling down was beginning to make an impact on the team in a more positive manner than the Welsh Rugby team and the CPSers closed out the half 5 to 3??..

Angie then decided to go and track down Dai and see if she could get a few players in from BK, the team swapped to Allied forces and well to be honest were brutalised by the renegades the lack of knowledge of this map was hurting the team and were once more killing each other from friendly fire along with not coping well with the quick play from their hosts?????.

They went 3 down quickly as allies and it wasn?t until match 4 that they found some composure and although they lost the map they had taken the players down to the final man?????

Match five went the same way as the previous match and it was the end of the St Lo map so overall score was 10 to 3 going into V2 Rocket map and again this was not a map that all of the team had much practice at and once more the team struggled with the early spawning tactics of the renegades and they again went down 5 ? 0

A quick team talk was had and motivational swearing was heard from all quarters that seamed to get the Cornish Crew going and it would appear began to finally get to grips with the realism of the server for the team began to kill the opposition in ever increasing numbers and after taking a 2 ? 1 lead in the final session they never looked backed.

?Zoe the Zulu? was making crucial kills up on the balcony area no Romeo?s were going to take this Juliet out???

?Little Dragon? made some outstanding moves in game three that showed why he was captain of this bunch of degenerate reprobates?

?Barry Nom8s? was once more showing how good a player he really is, Although we will never let him forget his Ruckus Moment match???..

?Teale The Truth? took out some important kills down in the garage area and if he only knew you could shoot through a wall might still be there now?????

?Welsh Wolf? played a blinder in match four like a man possessed he was taking out the opposition????

?Killer Kristofaa? was banging away with the machine gang luck Cagney ?on top of the world Ma????????

?SpiritWalker? was like a whirling dervish on the battlefield and this Celt war machine was having no nonsense from the renegades???.

?Maximus? was making life extremely tough for several of the Renagades down in the pit and we hope to see him come and play in our next tournament???..

?Danny Destroyer? was along for the ride and picking of the enemy with his normal aplomb when you need a friend in battle then this is one Belgium I would be proud to stand with??

And Finally we got to the final match and Dogz???. He was like the beast from the east and was going out with a bang!!! Notching up three final kills in the radio room was a thing of beauty and will go down in the annuls of Dogzdom for ever and a day.

The Cornish took the final half 5 to 1 reversing the tide and leaving them wishing that they could now start the match over it would be a closer run thing?..

The team may of lost overall and the final score was 3 quarters to 1 , but playing on maps that the team were not accustomed too and a server that was radically different from their own along with little to no team tactics they did not disgrace themselves and should be proud of there final performance???

Most of the team had not played in a team competition before or let alone gone near an objective map in their lives.

Thanks to our hosts the Renegades who after a little more practice we should offer a rematch to on our patch??Also thanks to Angie the Cheerleader and troop raiser for her efforts during the match, and to Carl for leading us into battle hope we didn?t let you down to much, I really didn?t mean to shoot you in the Ar** m8 really I didn?t????.
