Well, we are still awaiting a detailed ruling, but in short Apple Computers have won in the case, and will continue to trade "Digital Transmisson" of music through their iTunes Music Store.
Of Course Apple Corps will appeal, but the standing clincher in the ruling is the original agreement was written before the advent of MP3's and Downloading music etc etc, so it never covered the sale of music through data transfer.... end of story, Apple Corps had the opportunity to update their agreement and also were priveledged enough to have a preview of Apple Computers iTunes music store before it was first launched... there was no bleating at that point!
Anyways.. I just thought I would let you guys know as you were all so keen in posting the news of the court case when everyone thought Apple Computers were in trouble.
Keep Smiling....
The ultimate question is will Steve Jobs with a smug smile offer to host Beatles albums on the iTunes Music Store...
Now where is that smug smiley ;)
Edit:-
Steve Jobs Hands Olive Branch To Apple Corps.
