got to love newsgroups.. In a linux newsgroup the question posted: Google Earth.. I downloaded this for ubuntu - when I try to run it, the planet rotates for a brief period then the PC locks up. . . . And the answer: I believe the rotation of the planet is caused by momentum and is not related to your linux problem. ;) ..not a lot of help but it made me laugh.
