Just got in from a Chas & Dave gig. Everyone at work took the piss, but it was as I good as I expected it would be. Both are very talented; Chas played guitar, banjo and piano; Dave played guitar, banjo and bass and then there was Mick the drummer who also had a scrub (I suppose) on the washboard.
Their musicianship was excellent throughout. Chas is an excellent pianist, I saw Jools Holland earlier this year who is a master of boogie-woogie piano and Chas is right up there along side him from what I saw tonight.
I can't say that I'm a huge Chas and Dave fan, I'm pretty certain that the first tape I ever got, with my first walkman when I was about 8 was a Chas & Dave tape so I knew the well known ones. The reason I went was that they just happened to be on locally and I thought it would be good to go and see. I was right. It was very good - highly recommended for a great night out and plenty of dates and locations to see them.
