Recently we have had a disturbing turn of events with in our own CPS community were one of our own moderators has been accused of using a “Cheat” within his program when playing MOH.
There is a glitch that will change the game to a no recoil set up along with hovering around the map so you move smoothly along without any sudden movements allowing for even smoother shooting thus allowing you to shoot someone whilst on the run with such accuracy you would need normally to be standing still.

In the game mode you do not see your weapon or hear any sounds so very difficult not to notice something has gone wrong with your game settings.

But with practice this glitch will allow you to kill someone on the run from a great distance with only one or two bullets used.

The reputation of our servers is most important and we must protect the integrity of our community and standing with in MOH.

What we all strive for and want within our gaming is mostly to have fun and enjoy the experience of interacting with other people but there has to be ground rules, and if they are not set and adhered to then we have a breakdown within the basic fabric of Cornish society and we then just allow cheating to go on.

What has recently occurred within our own server concerning Sotko Bulgaria who as a moderator was accused of cheating is serious and that it has been investigated by leading authorities within the CPS community and inside the moderators forum mostly away from the public view is right but snippets have appeared out in the open and "Private Parts" was the cause of this more open discussion then allowing others to voice an opinion.

It would have been better held back completely until investigations were completed or brought into the open forum from the start.

The whole situation has come to a head with factions siding one way or the other and a decision being made for the apparent good of the game to reinstate Sotko Bulgaria to the server.

Ultimately this is Gothic’s server and he will have the final say in the matter but the case against him is strong and the defence for him does not seem to me to be as credible, however beyond reasonable doubt as OJ’s Trial made famous. The issue should not be that “He is a moderator” or “He is a nice guy” or He is very polite and chatty in the Shoutbox” the issue is did he knowingly leave the Glitch in the system on his machine and play with it.

I interact with these people on a website / Ventrillo and get shot by them on a server or in Celtic’s case I get clubbed around the head a lot. But to say that you know these people is just not the case you know the persona that is being portrayed, We do not use our real names we have nicknames! Some people may not even use their own pictures within the website!
If you physically know them and have met them and spent time with them and looked into there blood shot eyes over the twelfth pint of lager and the eighth double brandy and sworn undying love and loyalty and becoming blood brothers with them okay! but otherwise how can you know them!

I do however know Owlsec as he is my brother and I have grown up with him and although I am biased I do not believe him to be an escaped “Axe Murderer from Belview!” Or someone that lies about other players for the fun of it! He stated a fact that he found out about and has brought to the attention of Gothic and Dai about Sotko’s Locker room screen shot that is all. As Private Parts wants to say “The Vocal Majority” well if it was the Majority then it would be what would pass as in a democratic society that is how Governments get elected! by a majority it is the Vocal Minority that you have to worry about in life…….. Durrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

I am a cold hearted grumpy old Grandfather who believes in old fashioned family values! who will never be the greatest player within the circle that is CPS! I do hold Tags that I have been very proud to wear not by being the greatest player with in the server or holding any high score stats but for being, I don’t know a good laugh! And being able to write a good line now and again, However I do wish to play on the same level terms as everyone else and that is all any of us should want!

In a world of choice and in this world of freedom of choice, My choice is to hand in my CPS tags as Owlie has done today. Yes it is only a game and it is there to have fun but this has not been fun!

I would like to say that in the 9 months I have been on the server I have really enjoyed my time, But I will not have my brother seen as a liar or hung out to dry! which is how he feels! by reinstating Sotko you are condemning him and this is unacceptable.

Gothic, Maybe spend a little more time in the game getting your head knocked of from 400 metres by a running Bulgarian with an smg firing one bullet its really cool ! Out of touch maybe !!!!
