Read This If You Have A Slow Connection

With broadband being so relatively cheap and accessible most of our members have high-speed connections which not only allow them to whoop ass in our game servers but also allow them to browse the web in relative comfort and enjoy the graphics and eye candy in all its glory. However, we recognise that we do get visitors who have slower connections so here are some tips to speed up your browsing of the forums by turning off images:

Turn off signatures:

Signatures are the section at the bottom of a post where user's can post quotes and images. To turn off signatures:
Click on the User CP button that you'll find in the navigation bar at the top of the page.
From the Control Panel on the left of the screen, select Edit Options.
Scroll down to the section titled Thread Display Options
In the section Visible Post Elements, remove the tick from the box 'Show Signatures'.
Either scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the 'Save Changes' button or continue with the other options described below...

Turn off avatars:

Avatars are the small pictures that appear in the top left of a user's post. To turn off avatars:
Click on the User CP button that you'll find in the navigation bar at the top of the page.
From the Control Panel on the left of the screen, select Edit Options.
Scroll down to the section titled Thread Display Options
In the section Visible Post Elements, remove the tick from the box 'Show Avatars'.
Either scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the 'Save Changes' button or continue with the other options described below...

Turn off other images:
Images can be embedded in posts and members will often post funny or interesting pictures in the forums. To turn off all embedded images:
Click on the User CP button that you'll find in the navigation bar at the top of the page.
From the Control Panel on the left of the screen, select Edit Options.
Scroll down to the section titled Thread Display Options
In the section Visible Post Elements, remove the tick from the box 'Show Images'.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the 'Save Changes' button.
